  Event Planning  
  Jenny Wakefield has experience with large scale event planning:  
     
 
  • Developed UNIV1010 an online course for all UT Dallas incoming Freshmen. Fall 2011 a total of 1,755 student took the course in eLearning.
  • Ran a program at UT Dallas called Student Second Life Success where volunteering undergraduate students developed infrastructure on the university's virtual islands in Second Life
  • SL6B, SL7B, SL8B Built a satellite campus for UT Dallas SOM at the Second Life 6,7, & 8 year celebration sites.
  • New Faculty Orientation (approximately 60 participants)
  • Faculty Retreat (approximately 250 participants)
  • Associate Faculty Meeting (approximately 400 participants)
  • Farewell Reception (approximately 200 attendees)
  • Birthday Reception (approximately 100 attendees)
  • Chair Meeting (approximately 80 attendees)
  • Retention Workshop (approx 250 attendees)
  • Faculty Development Week (spanning over a week including various workshops and presentations)

About Jenny
  Jenny Wakefield - Your next Instructional Designer  
     
 

I am a Web Developer and Instructional desinger at UT Dallas. I also do graphic design and video.

At the University of North Texas I am a PhD Learner in the department of Learning Technologies and I Research Assistant for the iCAMP program in the College of Information.

In my research I focus on instructional design, social networks learning, games, simulations, and virtual worlds in learning. I have been on the editorial board for several books. When not at work, school, or writing, I enjoy photography and videography, spending time with her family, and helping others achieve academic success.

I have teaching experience with adult learners.I have taught HTML, Dreamweaver, and PhotoShop in the past. My current course is on Computer Essential. This is a course called LTEC 1100 - the 2015 Project. See some comments from previous students of mine.
