Photo Tools

The Web 2.0 Photo Tools often allow forpeople to share their photos and video online. Special servers that have large streaming functionality and lots of server space allow for, often, unlimited upload of photos and video, the creation of albums, design of photo books, and more. Being able to upload video from a variety of formats to YouTube or one of the other sites that offer free video upload, simplifies it for users to share their work.

Instructors working with photography or video in the classroom can easily assign projects and suggest one of the sites listed below for publishing of the student work. Some sites only offer public access so if the work is to be kept private, read the fine print before signing up.

An example of a photo project could be for students to go out in their environment to capture 'natural' letters, for example, an a-frame in a swing set being the example of an A. Then students could make an online photo album of their photographs.
