Comiqs.com - lets you create your own comics and view comics made by others. Upload your pictures, add speech bubbles and make your pictures stand out - for a laugh or to tell a story.
iFoods.Tv.com - Hungry for something new? Browse recipes and watch videos on how to cook it.
Galaxiki.org - is a science fiction wiki where participants can create their own solar system and enjoy the fantasy together.
Hairmixer.com - provides you with an opportunity to upload a picture of yourself (female or male) and explore what you would look like in a different hair style, different hair color or even with a full-blown makeover.
Myheritage.com - is a place to build your own family tree with pictures and all and show off to your friends, family, or the world.
Pandora.com - Create your own favorite-music radio station by selecting your favorite artist. Add to your station or let the station add similar music/artists to your initial choice. As you give the songs played a thumbs-up it or thumbs down, the station you created plays more and more of "your music."
PhotoStory 3 is free for download and lets students create digital story telling using stills, narration, and music in the process. The end result is amazing. An example by Howard Gregory, Kent State University.
Woordle lets you create word clouds. Have vocabulary words you want students to ponder over? Have them create a word cloud. Visual learners in particular may benefit from seeing the words in a p[attern and everyone will have fun with the activity for sure.
