Autism in black and white: this is what it is.

In a perfect world there are no disabilities...

...but unfortunatley there is no such thing as a perfect world. This does not stop expectant mothers from dreaming about the 'perfect' baby they are carrying hoping it will be healthy and smart. They learn about their baby's upcoming milestones and look forward to seeing their child take their first steps and utter their first words. No mother wants an unhealthy child or a child with a disability. However, ever so often, to the sadness, grief, and stress of parents, children are born with disabilities bringing with them a range of health conditions that require treatment. The third most common of disorders is Autism. What is autism and what areas does it affect? How can it be diagnosed and treated? In addition, what's in the future for a child diagnosed with autism? This Web site unravels these questions.
